Condition: Very good vintage
The OG version of Louis's dauphine! This one is crafted before LV introduced their date code, before 1982! Buuut! This one is so special - as it comes with its signature hallmark stamp on the rim of the hardware logo. My first time ever seeing a hallmark on a Louis bag!
Strap also adjustable to two lengths: hand/shoulder OR crossbody/sling. Has many compartments (2 big compartments, 2 zipped compartments, two slit pockets!).
Hardware is still so gold and shiny, especially the LV logo, on the sides and buttons. Strap is strong and sturdy. Canvas monogram is pretty, has no cracks or peeling. Leather patina even throughout. Everything functions as per normal, all zippers run smooth. Zipper head has some tarnish, but still gold overall.
Signs of use are consistent with its age. Nothing major that requires highlighting. Internal leather lining has surface scratches and some dirt. No stickiness or peeling! How well-maintained is this over 40 y/o gem!
Hard to come by. Current RRP $5700. Save over $4000!
